Wanted: men and women in black

By Surrey and Hants News in Football

Willing whistle-blowers are wanted in Bordon as a community football league looks to recruit men and women in black for a new league.

Leisure Leagues – which provides five- and six-a-side football – is running courses at Mill Chase Leisure Centre for budding referees.

Once they have passed their induction, referees will be starting on a journey that could see them refereeing the top professionals in the world – the likes of Ronaldinho, Ryan Giggs and David James are all Leisure Leagues ambassadors.

The league donates all its profits to charities and good causes and has been praised for its treatment of referees.

The induction evenings will take place on Mondays in Mill Chase Leisure Centre over the next few weeks. Anyone interested in the free lessons can ring 0333 123 2340, email [email protected] or visit www. leisureleagues.net/Become-A-Referee.aspx.
